We are working with a secondary Alternative Provision for young people who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This means the young people attending the provision often present behaviour that may challenge. The school whole heartedly believe this behaviour is a reaction or triggered by something that can be fixed, through listening to and understanding individuals, building trusting but professional relationships and being a positive role model. The school operate on a small and intimate scale to give each service user a personal experience, where their voice can be heard. Social development and self-awareness are a focus for the young people attending the provision. However, the School also prides itself on still offering a mainstream curriculum as they still expect to see results and academic progress from these young people. You must have a good knowledge or GCSE Maths, English, Science, or a keen interest in another subject.
