Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to come onboard one of the largest heaving lifting organisations within the UK.
Within the role of Service Manager, you will oversee a team of engineers and apprentices within Head Quarters, as well an ensure the fleet in maintained to the highest standards.
This is an organisation with a huge global presence, they pride themselves on being the best within their field and delivering an exceptional customer service. You’ll become an integral part of the team and have complete control over the service and workshop departments.
Responsibilities of the Role:
• Oversee and offer technical support to a team of engineers & apprentices
• Manage the company service department & workshop
• Ensure the fleet is maintained and maintenance schedules are being upheld
• Offer technical support and assistance to the team and to customers as and when required
• Conduct staff appraisals and oversee recruitment for the engineering department
• Oversee and manage service administration and paperwork in relation to the role
• Ensure company policies are being carried out, ensuring health, safety and legislation are upheld at all times
Requirements of Role:
• Must hold an engineering background
• Hold strong leadership skills and have experience managing a team of engineers
• Experience working within the crane/heavy lifting sector is required
• Be flexible to travel on occasion when the role dictates – driving licence essential
