Adecco Looking for Laboratory Technician (part-time) at Nationwide Full Time

The laboratory of a prestigious university is looking for a laboratory technician to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a willingness to learn and be involved in different research projects. You will be working as part of a wider team, to ensure you are there to support when required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the group’s work focusing on the reception and processing of mouse tissues, including microscopy acquisition and analysis.
• Maintain a stock of histologic solutions and consumables.
• Prepare staining solutions and reagents.
• Be responsible for keeping a clean equipment and working area.
• Perform microscopic analysis of the samples.
• Keep good records, electronic and paper based.

About you:

You should have good knowledge of histologic techniques and be competent in all or some of the following:

• Tissue preparation and processing.
• Paraffin embedding.
• Microtome sectioning (cryosection is a plus).
• Knowledge of tissue staining, for example, H&E, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), trichrome, picrosirius red.
• Willingness to learn and establish other staining in the department.
