Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Transport Planner to join a successful and growing business based in Bamber Bridge, Preston.
Due to expansion our client is seeking a Transport Planner to join their existing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years transport planning experience within logistics.
Salary:£28-30K (dependent on experience)
Work hours:
Monday-Friday
Shifts from 7am to 6pm on a rota
(7am-4pm/9am-5pm/10am-6pm)
Saturdays up to lunch time shared on rota

Duties
Working for one of Lancashire’s Premier freight transport companies. The company transports pallets and freight throughout the UK. Their transport operation is designed to meet companies’ specific needs – whether it’s specialist single deliveries or high volume consignments. Our client distributes pallets and palletised goods nationwide.
They are specialists in full load and part load (Groupage) consignments, as well as, timed pallet distribution Lancashire based, the company endeavours to shorten any delays and guarantee that delivery windows are met within the whole of the UK, Northern & Southern Ireland and Europe. We aim to surpass our expectations, another reason why we are continuing to move “ahead of the pack” in terms of quality Haulage in the North West.
They not only do traditional Haulage to anywhere in the UK, Ireland and Europe but also single consignments for pallet distribution Lancashire. This includes timed deliveries, RTCs, third party collections, economy deliveries and more.
Reporting to the Transport Manager and alongside another Transport Planner, this role is responsible for planning trucks for delivery, customer service, booking loads, processing pallets, dealing with customer queries, route planning and problem solving when roads or closed or if their is a breakdown.
