The Background
We are recruiting for a Stress Engineer to join a pioneering Aerospace organisation on a contract basis on an initial 12 month contract due to an increased workload. Please note this role will be initially on site full time during training then with an option to work from home 1-2 days a week.
The Role
As a Stress Engineer you will operate as part of the Plant Engineering Team (PET) working alongside existing stress analysts. In this role you will be involved in static structural analysis, both composites and metallic. You will help ensure airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures and have the ability to provide stress analysis for the repair / acceptance of metallic, composites / hybrids structures. The client are also looking for someone who has the ability to analyse and validate structures at component level for Static strength, F&DT and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable method and sizing processes.
