Alecto Recruitment are currently representing an industry leading Gas Detection company, who are now looking to appoint an additional Gas Detection Service Engineer to support their ongoing growth.
With an outstanding reputation for quality and engineering excellence, the group provide a one stop shop for the design, manufacture, test, supply, install, commission and service of fixed continuous gas detection equipment and environmental monitoring systems.
With an impressive portfolio of industrial clients to include sewage treatment works; ministry of defence; facility management; semiconductor plants, university clean rooms, the company continue to see year on year growth and are now implementing a forward-thinking operational strategy to support their team.
The Role:
As Fixed Gas Detection Service Engineer, you will operate in a mobile role covering the Southeast region of England, with a heavy focus on the London, Surrey area.
Responsible for a planned maintenance schedule to include service, maintenance, repair and calibration to a wide variety of manufacturers such as Crowcon, BW, GDS, Drager, GMI, Honeywell, MSA amongst others, you will manage your own diary to ensure maximum efficiency.
Duties will also include:
Preparing method statements/risk assessment and completion of job sheets.
Booking servicing and commissioning projects
Administration duties such as time sheet completion, job sheets, expenses, mileage sheets, mobile stock records
Email Management
The Candidate:
To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Service Engineer used to managing your own time and happy travelling between sites day to day.
Preferably you will have good knowledge of Fixed Gas detection or Portable Gas detection equipment, although experienced service engineers from other industries will also be considered, with transferable industries to include; Electrical, Fire Alarm, Intruder alarm, CCTV, Telecoms, Audio Visual or similar
Full training will be provided on site and in house as necessary but experience as a service engineer is essential.
Preferable qualifications:
CSCS health and safety card (candidates will be considered without on the basis the company would send you on course immediately)
Asbestos Awareness,
IPAF card
Electrical qualifications such as C&G or 18th Edition
This role would suit a mature person who enjoys working by themselves or occasionally with
others, at various locations around the south east and mainly in London.

Package:
£32,000 – £35,000 per annum
Annual bonus in December based on company performance
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 16:30pm, although flexibility will be required
20 days holiday rising to 25 days (1 additional per year)
