Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.
As a Planning and Control Manager, you’ll lead our Planning & Control activities across the product lifecycle for our external supply chain. This includes making sure inventory and logistics costs are optimised and that delivery performance expectations are met.
This Planning and Control Manager position is available on an initial 6-month contract. The role will be working at our client’s Derby site.
Key Accountabilities:
As a Planning and Control Manager you will lead the team and their performance though understanding their performance data
Support the team’s management of key delivery metrics.
The Planning and Control Manager will coordinate the Sales and Operations planning process for the commodities/supply chain value stream
Develop and coach team members in professional growth and great customer experience
You will oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation
You will maintain adherence to company style and branding in all outgoing communications
Requirements:
Relevant degree within a technical or business field.
Strong MS Office skills, specifically within Excel and PowerPoint
Experience delivering projects within a technical environment; ideally aerospace or defence
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
Good knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP
Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills
