Salary: £17,876 per annum plus benefits

Serco have an exciting opportunity within the Serco team at the UK Defence Academy based in Swindon. We are currently recruiting for a storekeeper to join our existing team and carry out duties associated with the issue, control and accounting of stores and equipment for the Defence Academy and Lodger Units.

Key accountabilities of the role:

• Receive, Issue, Control and Account for all equipment and stores within the Defence Academy and Lodger Units in accordance with current regulations.
• Disposal of equipment in accordance with current regulations.
• Stocktaking and auditing of accounts / inventories.
• Support to other departments within Logistics as required.
• Ensure that the working area is kept clean, tidy and hazard free at all times.
• Overnight tasking’s may be required, prior notification will be given.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Senior Stores Supervisor / Head of Logistics.

What you’ll need to do the role:

• IT proficient – Basic level of MS Office products.
• Customer focused.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Able to work individually as well as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise
• Flexible work ethic.
• Good Communication Skills
• Must be able to attain a full SC clearance
