ASC Connections Looking for Service Engineer at Preston, Lancashire Full Time
Are you an experienced service engineer, looking to join an established OEM? Do you want to be paid door to door for all the hours you work? Do you need to earn over £50K a year OTE?
With a reputation for reliability and productivity, their CNC machine tools are globally recognised. They have a strong network of service engineers across the UK, along with additional technical support staff who are office based. They have a head office here in the UK for equipment storage, refurbishment and distribution, as well as a global headquarters outside of the UK where the equipment is built.
Responsibilities for the service engineer include –
Breakdown repairs and maintenance of CNC Machines that have Heidenhain and Siemens controls, including multi axis Mills and Lathes
Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding
Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs to machinery
Machine levelling and alignments
Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
Travel from home to site covering regionally to your location on service and breakdown, but be prepared to travel nationally when installation & commissioning projects are required.
Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience
– Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician – Confident with both mechanical and electrical repairs and part swaps – Experience working with FANUC controls or Siemens – Good knowledge of fault finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections – Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required – Clean driving license
No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.
Benefits include an excellent base salary of £38 – £40K depending on experience, plus an OTE of £55K with door to door travel, overtime paid during the week and weekends, company vehicle, mobile phone & laptop, 33 days holiday, generous private pension, healthcare, life assurance and yearly pay reviews.
