Service Transition Manager – People / HR
We have a unique opportunity for two experienced People Transition Managers to join our People Programme Service Transition team at this exciting time of large scale transformation and change for Asda.
Reporting to the People Service Transition Lead, you’ll be responsible for the planning, transition, and co-ordination of the future operating model to ensure an effective and seamless transition into our new People Services operation.
You will be able to demonstrate service transition experience with particular focus on HR service transition related to new technology, including Workday & ServiceNow.
Please note this is a secondment / fixed term position until Oct 2023, but a high percentage of our fixed term colleagues secure permanent opportunities along the way
Your Role
Lead the People Services transition and deliver services in line with best practice, governance and our strategic business objectives.
Liaise between the Programme, the People Function and People Services to support and facilitate decision making, managing a smooth, co-ordinated and integrated service delivery transition plan.
Ensure all requirements are captured and transitioned effectively with full documentation as required.
Provide strategic input for all new and updated services in the People Services Service Catalogue, working with the Centres of Expertise and the Project Leads throughout the end to end lifecycle of the projects to ensure robust cohesive transition plans in preparation for implementation
Create and maintain the service transition approach, including policies and procedures, ensuring this is embedded and understood by stakeholders, whilst driving continual improvement and following appropriate governance.
Engage, collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders at all levels to manage service delivery and alignment with business objectives. This will involve delivering and analysing MI to report on transition status, progress and activities demonstrating the delivery of KPI’s and strategic objectives.
Provide subject matter expertise for service design and service transition activities, ensuring minimum disruption to the introduction of new services and changes to the existing services.
Ensure our people programme technologies, services and ways of working align with Asda’s values and purpose.
About You
HR service transition subject matter expertise and leadership
Experience in new technologies
Strong experience in HR transition governance
Solid HR functional / systems and operations understanding
In-depth knowledge of HR transition frameworks to deliver an effective transition
Strong HR understanding/experience
Customer and delivery focused mindset
Proven excellent senior stakeholder management and engagement skills
