Finance Analyst/Assistant – based in Worcester, WR5
Aspens Services is an established and successful school contract caterer, providing meals to children in schools up and down the country. We are currently looking for a Finance Analyst/Assistant to join our team at our Head Office in Whittington, Worcester. Please read on to see details of this position.
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 25 days holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays
- £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
Reporting into the Transactional Manager, this is a 6 month project to cleanse supplier accounts ready for a SAP implementation. The successful candidate will recommend process changes to improve reconciliation and controls within Purchase Ledger & Banking.
Key responsibilities:
- Cleanse Aged Supplier Accounts
- Reconcile and Correct supplier accounts
- Negotiate with supplier aged debt (small value) and lead on providing FD with larger value negotiations.
- Support and provide guidance to Purchase Ledger & Banking functions with regard to process improvements
- Co-ordinate and complete process and control documentation
Ideal candidate:
- Qualified / Part Qualified / Or by Experience accountant with strong financial knowledge and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience reconciling multiple systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive with a keen ability to complete on task
