Derby College Group are recruiting an Operations Manager to join our excellent Technology Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to have positive impact on the apprenticeship and commercial provision. Using and developing your knowledge and expertise to provide our apprentices with an excellent learning experience, whilst supporting our employer partners to meet their training requirements. You will be joining an experienced, forward-thinking, and vibrant department that has a clear focus on the apprentice learning experience and seeing them achieve their goals and progress to the next stage of their career.
You will have a strong background in managing apprenticeships within the construction and energy renewables sectors, with proven experience of developing excellent apprenticeship delivery programmes and commercial training that align to employer needs in the local and regional areas that you work.
You will lead your team to deliver a high-quality learning and assessment experience to our apprentices, adding your experience and skills to the team and using this to benefit and inspire the future of the provision. Within this role you will also build positive relationships with employers and proactively engage with the College’s Employer Engagement team to ensure our apprenticeship programmes effectively align to the employer needs.
This role is based at Deby College campuses on Pride Park, and there will be some requirement to visit employer sites. A full driving licence and access to transport are also required for this role.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
