Bennett & Game Recruitment Looking for Groundworks Contracts Manager at Wolverhampton Full Time

Contracts Manager – Required for our client a successful Groundworks and building contractor. The Contracts Manager will be working for a company based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton and will be working across the West midlands and some UK wide projects. The Contract Manger will be working for a company that act as a Sub contractor on ground works projects for Tier one contractors and have an outstanding reputation. The company are also heavily involved in bespoke houses and their own small developments; they are looking for a Contracts Manager due to doubling their turnover in the past 6 months.

The Contracts Manager will have extensive groundworks and experience being able to support the Site Supervisors on site and coordinate activities with the client in a professional manner. The Contract Manger will be working across multiple sites. These sites are predominately residential developments that require candidates to have previous experience in the housing sector.

Groundworks Contracts Manager Position Overview

• Responsible with project Method Statements & Risk Assessments
• Dealing with Health & Safety on site and working with Health and Safety Manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met and maintained and in conducting investigations
• Conducting site staff inductions and tool box talks
• Completing timesheets and arranging appropriate staffing cover on projects.
• Running multiple projects from handover to completion
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients
• Ensuring that projects runs to schedule and to budget
• Accurately preparing reports and documents as required by the Director
• Ensuring all necessary administrative functions required for the proper and effective running of the projects are carried out in a timely manner
• Being commercially aware and liaising with the Director on any possible business opportunity for the Company whilst on projects

Groundworks Contracts Manager Position Requirements

• Previous experience as Contract Manager in the housing or groundworks sector
• SMSTS + CSCS
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel
• Full UK Driving License
• Happy with travel will be 70% on site 30% office
• Based within a commutable distance to Wolverhampton
