Motor Claims Handler (DMU) – Colchester
Repair Management
We are looking to recruit good strong candidates to become Motor Claims Handlers to join their DMU (Downtime Management Unit) team in Colchester. As a Claims Handler, you will be managing vehicle repair and hire claims from start to finish. Experience would be great be as long as you have strong phone work experience in sales or the motor industry full training will be supplied.
£18,525 to Start.
The contracted hours are 37.5 per week and usually fall between 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday work if required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitoring the progress of a claim
Reviewing quantum of third party damages (both vehicle and property)
Be capable of validating claims against policy information to ensure Indemnity verified
Applying accurate reserves based on the facts presented in the incident for own damage and 3rd Party in accordance with the reserving criteria.
Maintaining a claims allocation
Managing diary and post allocations
Skills & Experience:
Motor claims experience would be a advantage but not essential, But must be strong and confident on the phone.
Must be computer literate and have a good understanding of CQ
Be able to demonstrate your ability to influence and manage relationships with key stakeholders and your peer group, remaining positive and enthusiastic when dealing with difficult and challenging situations
Have a pro-active approach to solve people and customer problems and to remain focused on priorities for the team as a whole when faced with conflicting demands
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent written and verbal communication
