Trainee Construction Hoist Installer/Engineer
Plantire have an exciting position available for a full-time Trainee Construction Hoist Installer/Engineer to carry out works on customer sites across London and the South East, and at our HQ location in Ashford, Surrey.
On the job experience will be gained through working in the workshop and out on customer sites (along with some home study). Working on site and learning from a qualified installer, will ensure you pass the assessment to gain a Level 2 NQA Diploma in Plant Installations (Hoist).
Operating from our HQ, working hours are 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will earn approximately £23,700 per annum, rising in stages to £30,000+ once qualified and competent.
Plantire are different to others in field, we boast a family-like atmosphere, care for our staff, and play close attention to customer service. We always aim to have all staff back to HQ before 5pm for close of business daily, and only very rarely do any weekend work.
This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career and learn from the best in the business.
Role Requirements
- No specific qualifications required.
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems (motors, switches, locks, etc) would be highly beneficial.
- Reliability and good time-keeping is vital.
- Applicants MUST be happy working at height.
Role Responsibilities
- You will assist and learn from qualified hoist installer/engineers in the preparation, erecting, dismantling, servicing and maintenance of Goods Hoists, Transport Platforms, Gantry hoists and their associated gate systems and accessories.
