About the role:
The Finance Manager will manage the month-end procedures and ensure month end journals are prepared and posted by UK Finance team for the month end. They will ensure balanced sheet accounts are reconciled, review restricted general donations, and ensure that the accounting system is reconciled to the fundraising database. Producing monthly management accounts by the agreed timetable. Work together with the HR team to prepare monthly payroll and liaise with outsourced payroll provider. This is a busy role where the post holder will manage the financial processes of Concern Worldwide UK.
About you:
You will be a fully qualified Accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA) or ‘qualified by experience’ with demonstrable experience sufficient to override the qualification criterion. You will have advanced Excel skills and practical experience of management accounting principles and techniques. You will have experience of business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as well as experience of producing Finance papers for Senior Management Teams and Boards. The Successful candidate will have experience of managing staff and an understanding of and empathy with the charitable sector is essential.
