DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
We are looking for several Construction Assurance Engineers (Structural) to work on sites in either Berkshire or Buckinghamshire.
You’ll be responsible for dealing with the design related queries and coordinating with our client’s detail design teams to resolve any issues and answer any major technical queries. This will involve sample and scheduled inspections and examining all permanent works for compliance with the clients contract quality plan. This is required to certifying that the works have been constructed, completed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the relevant design data and satisfy the works information.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be responsible for:
- Inspecting, witnessing and advising on specified tests on or off site and certify that they comply with the quality plan and contract
- Monitoring construction activities and supporting the construction Assurance Team to ensure the client is receiving the contracted-for services
- Liaising with the CAS Manager to ensure the resource requirements to align with contruction activities
- Meeting time-frame, and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Undertaking reviews of the construction documentation including Quality Plans, Works Package Plans (WPPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for structual assets
- Witness points for Highways and Drainage works and undertaking the inspections during construction, including site (SAT) and factory inspections (FAT)
- Carrying out audits of the clients site QMS and reviewing RAMS documents
- Auditing the Client/Contractor’s construction assurance procedures
- Inspection of field trials and Instrumentation & Monitoring (I&M)
- Reporting results and KPIs to the Construction Assurance Manager
- Contributing to the Quarterly Reports as required by the Contract Scope
- Ensuring Health & Safety is edhered to at all times

Furthermore, you’ll have:
- BSc/BEng with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering (Chartered status preferred)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience on Design and Build including the development and implementation of rail and highway structures (including viaducts and bridges)
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both speaking and writing
- Decision-making and providing clear direction
- Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Good coordination skills
