A forward-thinking multi-academy trust is seeking to recruit an exceptional Cluster IT Technician to provide 1st/2nd line support to join their growing team. This is a varied and rewarding role to provide excellent IT support and capability for one of the most successful primary trusts in the country.
Reporting to the Head of IT, the technician will be responsible for the practical support of the trust’s schools and end user ICT infrastructure across a range of systems and hardware. The role will include the resolution of any IT issues, undertaking small/medium internal IT projects together with hardware and software installation.
The successful candidate will bring excellent working knowledge from a customer facing IT support role within an education setting, with strong technical skills including Office 365, Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
Your passion for new technology will be matched with your ability to work as an effective team member with good interpersonal and communications skills. You will be calm and pragmatic and confident in engaging with all end users in schools and central team.
You will act with discretion and escalate any issues to 3rd line development where necessary. Previous experience of providing IT support within a multi site role is desirable.
The post holders are to be based at one of the academies in the cluster area of Croydon, South Norwood and Deptford and will require regular site visits to other schools within the trust locally and further afield as necessary.
Salary for 1st Line Technician £19,554 – £21,589
Salary for 2nd Line Technician £24,876 – £28,000
A car driver is essential for this role. Interviews and assessment will be conducted by Zoom.
