Multi Drop Delivery Driver

Dennis Deliveries ltd are recruiting for a Multi Drop Delivery Driver to operate out of the FedEx Swindon Depot, on a full time, permanent basis. 

Dennis Deliveries ltd have long established partnerships with some of the world’s leading international courier companies, so reliability and a strong work ethic is paramount. The right candidate will become a valuable and integral part of the Dennis Deliveries team, working closely with all Drivers and Management.

The right candidate will be a logical thinker, self-motivated & someone who possesses a pragmatic approach to their work.

A minimum of 12 months employed driving experience is required.

Your daily work will consist of the following:

• Start time: 6am
• Carry out a basic vehicle safety & mechanical check
• Scan parcels onto the vehicle, loading them in post code order (prioritising time sensitive deliveries & collections)
• Deliver & Collect parcels across your allocated codes
• Effectively communicate with customers throughout the day
• Return to the depot in the afternoon to off-load any collections/returns.
• Participate in a Driver de-brief with the depot representative at the end of each working day.

You will be allocated a Dennis Deliveries owned, long wheelbase 3.5T vehicle (Sprinter, Crafter, Transit or similar).

Applicants are required to have:

• A full UK driving license, with at least 5 years of driving experience
• Experience of driving long wheel base 3.5T vehicles
• Longevity of service in other Multi Drop roles/employed positions (preferred)
• Have a good basic knowledge of vehicle safety and mechanics
• Possess strong communication skills

Geographical knowledge of the Stroud, Gloucester & Cheltenham areas would be advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
