The Professional Construction academy at Derby College is expanding! Due to substantial growth in courses, Apprenticeships and Higher Apprenticeships in this specialism, we now have an exciting opportunity to become a full time Learning Facilitator of Professional Construction. Supplementing this growth are a new course in BTEC Level 2 First Award in Construction and the Built Environment starting in September 2022, growth in apprenticeships and higher apprenticeships, and the new Government T-Level in the Built Environment since Sept 2020.
The role of the Learning Facilitator will focus mainly on the assessment of higher apprentices at L4 with elements of teaching to support curriculum delivery. We are looking for individuals who possess excellent vocational knowledge, experience of the latest construction technologies, and hold a minimum of an HNC/HND/Fd in Building Services Engineering, Construction and the Built Environment, or Civil Engineering. We are also happy to support candidates who are looking for their first opportunity in assessing/teaching if they have the right industry experience and qualifications and are willing to work towards the qualifications necessary for this role.
