Dimensional Fund Advisors Ltd Looking for Assistant Accountant at London Full Time

As an integral member of the Accounting Team, the Financial Accountant, Associate will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices.
The candidate must be very hands-on, detail oriented, and have strong organization and communication skills.

This role will report into the Corporate Finance Manager (EMEA) on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial reporting and quarterly Board reporting.
• Assist in month end close including journal preparation.
• Assist in the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L variance analysis reporting.
• An ability to identify and proactively resolve issues within the general ledger.
• Assist in the production of the statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors for both domestic and foreign audits as necessary.
• Keep abreast of current and upcoming changes in UK/Irish GAAP.
• Assist in the development of new reports utilising relevant data sources to inform the business.
• Assist in the preparation of financial regulatory data for the EMEA region.
• Assist in the preparation of tax data for the EMEA region.
• Assist with other general accounting projects, month-end close work and ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in an accounting position.
• Beginning studies or part qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EBS or another comparable enterprise accounting software suite required a major plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, results driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Proven prioritization, time management and project management skills.
• Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
