A great opportunity has come up for experienced Class 1 drivers to take on some night work with our well-established client in Southampton. There is no manual handling or heavy lifting involved as your job will be to reverse into loading bays and wait for goods to be forklifted off the vehicle. You will be required to shunt in the yard and complete trunk runs to hubs in the Midlands. Experience in driving a class 1 vehicle is essential for this role
Job Description:
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing work
- Start times may vary between 13:00 and 15:00
- 10-12 hour working days
- Shunting in yard
- Trunking runs to the Midlands
- Delivering in Class 1 curtain sider
- Long distance driving
- Reversing into loading bays and waiting to goods be taken off vehicle.
- Evening work
What we require from you:
- Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digi card
- No previous bans or convictions
- At least one year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Fantastic customer service skills
- Great time keeping
- Happy to work evening/ night shifts
