***Graduate BSL Teaching Assistant
***Spark Hill, Birmingham
***£70 – £90 per day
***Long-term, September start
***Supporting a mute child on a 1:1 basis
For this role you will need a level 2 or 3 in BSL/ British Sign Language, an eagerness to support and aid a child that is non-verbal and the passion to pursue a career in education. You must be patient and willing to adapt in your day-to-day life as not everyday will be the same.
In this role you will be supporting a non-verbal child in their day-to-day school life, teaching them BSL, numeracy and literacy alongside the rest of the curriculum. You will be working closely with this child in 1:1 intervention and during break times making sure they feel included. This role is vital for the child’s future development as you will be helping them gain the confidence to succeed in their academic and personal life. You will be a key role model to them and their main point of contact so its essential you are patient and caring for any problems they have.
