Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a progressive and target driven Credit Controller who has knowledge of running all aspects of a busy sales ledger from chasing outstanding cash to allocating payments. They are a manufacturing business based in Barnsley and are marketing leading in the UK for their industry sector and are gaining further market share year on year from providing such a diverse range of products to their customers and through innovative marketing strategy.
This role is much more than just a Collections/telephone-based role… a large proportion of your time will be spent allocating payments, raising invoices, reconciling accounts and dealing with a variety of queries! This is a very broad role with a range of duties to get stuck into!
Duties and Responsibilities of the Credit Controller will include:
* Chasing outstanding payments on a busy ledger
* Aged debt reporting
* Monitoring customer accounts and analysing potential risks of bad debt
* Assessing risk on new accounts and performing credit checks using Experian
* To develop and maintain effective credit control systems
* Putting accounts on stop/ releasing goods
* Maintain the credit insurance policy
* Liaising with both the sales and management teams to deal with any credit issues
* To provide management information and reports as requested by the Financial Manager
* Controlling the collection of Key and non-Key accounts
* Chasing payment from Accounts Departments as well as Surveyors
* Customer visits
* Liaising with internal departments
* Credit Checks
* Reconciliation of Accounts
* General queries
To be successful for this role the candidate WILL possess the following skills:-
* 2-3 Years previous Credit Control experience
* Good level of education and highly numerate
* Excellent communication & telephone skills
* Strong at building rapport with others
* Ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pursue the Institute of Credit Management qualification.
