ES Steel are a Steel Installation business based in Bury in the North West England. We pride ourselves on all aspects of our Steel Installation and Project Management, no matter what the size of the project, communicating every aspect of the work at every stage of the process. In order to take the business to that next level we are seeking someone who is passionate about managing, evolving and leading a business, driving it forward and successfully delivering projects to help maximise their potential both personally and professionally. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a role for a dynamic leader who can help develop and grow the sales function, whilst managing major clients across the Nuclear, Petrochemical, Gas and the Decommissioning sectors.

Main Responsibilities

Operational & Financial

• Design, develop & own the division’s business plan.
• Track & monitor performance vs business plan on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis.
• Deliver the team’s GP targets on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis.
• Track and monitor performance on a weekly basis.
• Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of all current projects, whilst having a complete understanding of future and potential.
• Ensure quality and attention to detail is at the forefront everything we do.

Team

• Hire, develop and retain team staff, whilst ensuring headcount growth plans are met.
• Consistently monitor future headcount requirements, ensuring a strong pipeline of potential hires at all times.
• Have regular 121’s with all direct reports to help support and mentor with day to day performance and issues.
• Identify key training needs for the team and individuals and feed this back to the business as requirements arise.
• Uphold ES Steel standards to ensure our processes and systems are being adhered to and making regular improvements to these.

Clients

• Design, develop & track a client engagement plan to ensure our relationships are being explored to their full extent.
• Track the projects with customers to see which are performing at the high standards expected of ES Steel, whilst ensuring those that are falling short are developed.
• Design, develop, participate & track a business development plan to win new or win back lapsed clients.
• Support the team before/at client meetings and build senior level relationships.
• Ensure the business leverage centrally produced marketing content to engage clients or win new ones.

Skills & Experience
You will have several years previous in a construction/steel erection business within the Nuclear Sector with a proven track record of delivering major projects.
You will have prior experience of managing a successful Construction/Steel Erection business within the Nuclear sector both in sales and service.
You will have a proven track record of developing and retaining staff
You be comfortable working with subcontractors at all levels.
You’ll be data driven through analysis and insights.
You’ll be Energetic, Driven and always looking for the next opportunity for the business.

In return you’ll receive a salary of between £80k-£100k, 28 days holidays (+ bank holidays) and Private Medical Insurance amongst other perks.
