Join us and help us elevate our individual giving and attract more people to the work of the Family Holiday Charity.
We’re here for families facing tough times – for stressed mums and dads, grandparent carers, young carers. For children who have never seen the sea or seen their mum smile in a while. Holidays offer confidence and hope for the future for families – and we have a growing body of evidence that supports the impact of our work, helping our fundraising efforts even further.
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to join our team and lead the development of our individual giving portfolio.
You’ll lead our acquisition activities, welcome new supporters to the charity, and steward our fabulous existing supporters. As well as experience with areas like these (acquisition experience is particularly key for this role), you will need some of the normal fundraising ‘ninja skills’ like planning and delivering campaigns, managing budgets and timelines, using stories, and working with people inside and outside the organisation.
This is a small charity role – a good mix of strategic and hands-on delivery. You’ll have a chance to make a real impact and own the space and really make your mark, while also doing something wonderful – sending families away on holiday!
We are based in London and hybrid work (typically 2 days in our Hub, working collaboratively). This role is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week) but we’re open to conversation about different working patterns – please raise so we can talk about what you’re looking for.
Safer recruitment
As part of our commitment to safeguarding the families we’re here to help, we follow safer recruitment practices. This means we will ask you to share details of any convictions you may have had, and we may ask you to complete other pre-employment checks. You may be required to complete a DBS check (at the charity’s expense). We also run basic searches on social media and search engines as part of our checking process.
