The Role
The role is part of a multi award-winning Marketing and Communications team that oversees and delivers on a wide range of marketing, communications and PR activities and is vital in strengthening FareShare’s ability to promote its work to the food industry.
Key focus of this role
The successful candidate will help to develop and execute promotional marketing activity with our fantastic corporate partners. They will help FareShare to grow its awareness through activity such as on-pack promotions on our partners’ products, in store marketing and promotions, celebrity endorsements and online content for ours and our partners’ websites and social media channels.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who feels passionate about food poverty and food waste in the UK. Ideally, they come with experience or knowledge of promotional marketing in the food/FMCG industry or agency-side, but most importantly, they will have solid B2C marketing knowledge.

Main Responsibilities
1. To support the Fundraising and Retailer team to engage existing & prospective corporate partners
– Implement a comms plan that supports the acquisition of new corporate partners through owned, earned and paid media. Managing the budget, reporting on ROI, evaluating and making recommendations to evolve the plan, in support of the Fundraising and Retailer team
– Identify relevant communication channels that support the team’s new business development
– Support the Fundraising and Retailer team with their embedding of a corporate partner’s contact strategy, and customer journey that assists retention of current partners and drives increasing food volumes
– Develop and maintain a range of collateral that effectively promotes awareness and demonstrates impact for key partners
– Work directly on key accounts to create compelling content plans to activate, promote and celebrate partnership activity
2. To support the Fundraising ‘Corporate Partnerships’ and Food team to promote corporate partnership activity and evidence of impact
In liaison with the Fundraising ‘Corporate Partnerships’ and Retailer team:
– Provide content and evidence of FareShare’s work and impact (e.g. case studies, research, current data)
– Identify and share stories of best practice
– Development of assets to promote the work of FareShare and their partners such as video, informative packs, social media content, web pages, posters, presentations, email, podcasts
– Develop engaging web content and maintain a range of industry case studies
3. To develop an active presence and visibility for FareShare within the Sales Promotion, PR and marketing agency space
– Assist the Corporate Partnerships and Retailer team where required on research activities/surveys, including research into client insight about promotions and sales incentives
– Support the Corporate Partnerships and Retailer team with relationships with Industry bodies such as the Institute of Promotional Marketing, using ALF the industry directory and so on, by providing content, news, blogs etc
– Ensure FareShare’s brand is protected and appropriately valued through all promotional comms by helping partners adhere to brand guidelines and escalating proposed partnerships that present a potential brand risk
4. General Marketing
– Receive and respond to briefs for marketing materials from the Corporate Partnerships and Retailer team using either the in-house team or external agencies
– Support the development of the FareShare website’s corporate partnership web pages in liaison with the Corporate Partnerships and Retailer team
Requirements
Essential Criteria
– Experience of working within FMCG marketing either agency or client side with project planning, budgeting, story/creative development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation
– Demonstrable experience of executing marketing campaigns and evaluating success
– Demonstrable experience of working on multiple corporate accounts
– Experience of targeting B2B audiences
– Professional use of social media and email marketing campaigns
– Experience of co-ordinating marcomms activity for a national brand or business
– Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders/cross functional team working
Skills, knowledge and abilities
– Excellent written skills including copywriting and proofreading, along with a similar level of verbal communications skills
– A self-starter with proven ability to work on own initiative, meet objectives and tight deadlines under pressure
– Able to demonstrate attention to detail whilst also having a flexible approach and an ability to work in a team
– Knowledge of CRM systems
– Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Active Campaign (or similar)
