Our client, a data driven Software as a Service (SaaS) / Platform as a Service (PaaS) scale up is looking to recruit their first Head of Finance. With a well drilled outsourced Accounting firm in place to look after the day to day financial accounting activity, your focus will be on the Financial Planning & Analysis; Performance Management; Financial Modelling; Fund Raising preparation etc.
Reporting to the CEO and COO you will have day to day responsibility for the finance function whilst building a best-in-class financial controls, reporting and FP&A framework, helping to support rapid international growth.
Key responsibilities:
Monthly, quarterly financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, business planning, cashflow forecasting.
Providing accurate financial analysis and insights, thereby enabling the Board to make critical commercial business decisions.
Financial modelling, interpreting complex financial information for the Board.
Advise and implement financial best practice – systems, processes, internal controls.
Overseeing all day to day financial activity including statutory compliance.
Building a highly motivated, high performing finance team, currently one Analyst plus the outsourced Accounting firm.
Your profile:
Exceptional academics with an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years PQE gained in a variety of large company and start up environments.
Experience gained in a Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Cloud Computing business is highly advantageous.
Interpersonally strong, you must be able to manage key senior internal and external stakeholders including Investors.
Demonstrable experience of implementing and improving financial processes and of your contribution to the building of a high-quality finance set-up (including people), appropriate for the company experiencing rapid growth.
First class presentation and communication skills.
