Our client based in Horsham are seeking a Finance Controller to join their growing and busy team. This role will be part of the Senior Management Team and primary point of contact for all aspects of financial transactions and management of the UK Finance Team.

Primary point of contact for all aspects of financial transactions and management of the UK Finance Team, ensuring the Company is compliant with and meets its obligations to statutory requirements including accounting, HMRC and VAT.

Management and development of the Finance Team.

Duties for this role will include:

• Preparation of management and statutory accounts, routine statutory filings, returns and payments and reports for corporate.
• Working with the MD and Executive Team and Management in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Preparation of timely, accurate and efficient financial information and analysis to help inform business decision making for both internal and external customers.
• Planning and managing the month end, year end and annual audit process with statutory accounts approval.
• Providing reliable product costings, operations and project analysis with future projections and previous performance in support of sound financial decision making
• Determine departmental targets and objectives with the Finance Team aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Personal requirements:

• Qualified management accountant
• Experience of financial management within a manufacturing/electronics environment.
• People management including personal development and performance management
• Exceptional communication skills with both internal and external customers to board level
• PAYE, NIC, VAT knowledge
• Currency dealings, letters of credit and international customs
• A catalyst for change.  Promotes continuous improvement within the Finance function and other departmental disciplines for the benefit of both internal and external customers
