The Opportunity
A thriving company with continued growth plans operating within a niche market, are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to their team. There’s plenty going on in this thriving company with planned acquisitions, office extension in progress and growing staff numbers. The Role
You’ll be working in a team of 5, reporting to and working closely with the Finance Manager and FD. You’ll be hands on in Purchase Ledger & Reconciliation mainly with some Receivables and Payroll administration (you don’t need to be a payroller, the system can be taught).
This is a thriving SME company, turning over currently £10m+ and so plenty of scope to undertake a broad range of accounting duties and hone those skills.
Included in the role is managing Payroll for 3 divisions. This isn’t an essential skill required as the duties can be moved or taught, there’s plenty of support available to bridge the skill gaps. Importantly we’re looking for the right fundamental fit however payroll understanding would be a big plus
The Candidate
We’re looking to draw interest from applicants who demonstrate a sound accounting knowledge. preferred is experience in all of the above with a good grounding in accounting fundamentals, and be adept with all aspects of Accounts Payable & Reconciliation. As long as you meet this, are system savvy (Sage also a big plus but not essential) with Excel and keen to develop, we want to hear from you. Qualifications aren’t massively important, however there is scope for study support to compliment the skills development you’ll receive. AAT would be beneficial, scope for further study in CIMA or ACCA.
You’ll also need to be confident, agile and adaptable, a true team player.
