We are partnered with a leading housing association in the UK who are hiring into their analytics team for MAT cover for 12 months to translate business questions and problems into requirements for data analytics.
What will you be doing in this role?
As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for working with the business to understand their information needs and provide analysis and insights to support their requirements, helping to influence decisions and outcomes for strategic and operational goals.
You’ll be identifying and producing key pieces of analysis and performance metrics supporting strategic and operational decision making by providing timely and accurate bespoke reporting / dashboards.
As a Data Analyst you will be working with the technology team to deliver requirements and enable self-serve for users via the data lake platform.
What are the key responsibilities in this role?
Create and maintain the requirements backlog working with stakeholders in the business and produce plan for incremental delivery in line with business priorities
Identify KPIs and associated diagnostic metrics used to monitor and drive improvements in business performance
Undertake ad-hoc analysis, interpret and communicate findings for business questions raised to enable the business to take action through well written insights reports
Specify the standard reports / dashboards through visualisation that tells the performance story to monitor performance enabling the business to self-serve
Create user stories for the creation / enhancement of the analytical datasets provisioned via the data lake ensuring all definitions are signed off by the relevant business owners
Obtain sign-off from the business sponsor for scorecards / dashboard / reports that it meets their needs and is accurate
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data / information to improve operational excellence and business performance
Drive change management throughout the business ensuring it is aligned with the five-year plan
What do you need to apply to this role?
Working experience in analytics working as either a Data Analyst, Information Analyst, Business Analytics Specialist, or Business Intelligence Analyst
Experience in reporting and data visualisation tools (Power BI preferable)
Excellent stakeholder management skills and a desire to understand business problems
