Start Date: 30/01/23

This role from GSL SEN Education is designed for a Psychology or Social Sciences graduate with aspirations in Clinical, Educational and Forensic Psychology. Or, if you have more of a focus in Youth, Criminal and Social Justice, this role could appeal to you as you will be working with children who have an EHCP for their Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges.
I would love to speak and hear about objectives and how this SEN LSA will further build your foundations and restorative methods, with its foundations steeped in empathy. Being sincere and authentic is vital, children in a SEMH school will often be able to tell if you are trying to be someone who you are not.
This LSA role will give you experience of working with many students who have been through significant traumas and have been tragically let down by the adult world, often missing substantial chunks of their schooling. Children learn best when they are loved, before anything academic is to be achieved, comfort and security must be in place between you and the children in your care.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
