Guidant Global is working with the UK’s trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, seeking an experienced Data Link Systems Engineer to apply your skills within a growing company and multi-skilled team. What you’ll get to do as a Data Link Systems Engineer:
The Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme (FCAS-AP) is developing a highly adaptable and networked system, enabled through a combination of core platforms, adjuncts, and complex weapons. The programme is currently in the concepting phase. You will be responsible for systems engineering work with weapons data links on the FCAS platform.
Working with the wider FCAS enterprise to develop concepts
Technology maturation and demonstration
Developing technology roadmaps
Requirements definition and management
RF system performance prediction and assessment
Working on developing novel solutions to challenging communications problems using the latest technology.
20% Travel required around the U.K.
What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will be a Systems Engineer with strong experience in RF systems
Understanding or RF communications systems and architectures
Understanding of antenna types and performance parameters
Knowledge of RF waveforms and waveform design
Must be able to achieve SC clearance. DV beneficial.
Have good interaction skills – verbal communication, listening and time management.
Proficiency in the use of MATLAB beneficial
You must be a UK national or citizen to be eligible for the role.
