H9 Technical Recruitment are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager the in Bedford area.

Role & Responsibilities

Reporting the Facility Manager, the Maintenance Manager will take the lead in providing facilities management through coordination and supervision of the maintenance activities of the Maintenance Department at the facility. This position is responsible for the overall direction, and evaluation of the maintenance department, performing the following duties listed below, personally or through supervisors.

• Coordinate maintenance activities and confers with Operations Manager to ensure compliance with operational demands.
• Review and approve day-to-day work order priorities; planning and scheduling preventive maintenance work; inspect and approve completed work.
• Establish and implement predictive maintenance program using vibration and oil analysis and trending equipment.
• Responsible for outage coordination and planning.
• Oversee and provide technical assistance on tasks performed by maintenance personnel, complete documentation of manpower time allocation and maintenance management.
• Delineate the safety policies and procedures for the Maintenance Department.
• Direct the development of maintenance procedures and guidelines and assists in the evaluation and development of recommendations for plant improvements.
• Prepare annual budget requirements and monitor performance of department financial goals.
• Monitor the tools and spare part requirements verify that adequate provisions for such items are included in the inventory control system.

Experience & Qualifications

• HND in Mechanical/Maintenance engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on a Power Plant Station.
• Working knowledge of instrument calibrations, testing, and maintenance.

Desirable:

• NEBOSH, IOSH.
• Industrial plant outage planning and execution.
