A leading Lloyd’s insurance broker is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Accountant.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will be an integral bridge between the work of the Financial Analysts, and the Management Accountants.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) revenue accounting across all business units and entities, including flash reporting, variance analysis and timing analysis, profit commission and incentive recording and accounting alongside the management accounts team, regular forecasting providing advanced notice of trends developing, P&L board reporting and supporting other board papers that need preparing, plus individual projects/tasks designated by CFO/Financial Controller and any other general admin/managerial duties as required, including collaborating to support continuous improvement in quality.
Applicants will ideally be qualified accountants with experience of revenue recognition polices within an insurance business, have experience dealing with technical accounting issues and associated presentations, and possess strong excel skills to be able to manage large datasets.
