I am looking for an extremely experienced and confident finance professional to run the day to day accounting process of this growing business. With a superb 2024 plan, this company is now looking at getting in an experienced finance professional (QBE/AAT/ACCA) who can help them to get their accounting and administrative processes and procedures ready for the next stage in their evolution. You will report in to the Company Director as well as the business’s external accountant, overseeing all of the transactional accounting and providing financial management to enable this business to grow, develop and achieve it’s true potential!

The successful candidate will ideally be someone who has had some good exposure to the construction or engineering industry, understands the challenges that brings, such as CIS schemes, work in progress, accruals and rigorous attention to cash management. Although there are good processes and procedures in place, you will have the autonomy and authority to make changes that you feel will help the business run better using a combination of Excel, Quickbooks…… there is an opportunity to implement a SAGE package going forward, so experience of system migrations would also be a benefit!

There is an office team of 5, and they are out and about a lot of the time, so you will have the space to yourself quite a lot…… you will therefore need to be self-sufficient and confident to crack on with the day to day. There is a little bit of flexibility on hours, although I must stress that this is a full-time job…..and you will need to be office-based.
