Senior Infrastructure Engineer Vacancy – West Malling, Kent
Your new company
formed in 2005, initially to provide transport, infrastructure planning/engineering and flood risk management advice to the land development and property sector, but have since added noise and vibration and air quality to our raft of services we offer our Clients. They have particular expertise in residential developments, for both greenfield and brownfield sites. The team works with clients throughout the entire development process, taking schemes from site pre-purchase and due diligence, through the planning application submission to secure consent, and on to detailed design and site supervision during construction.
Your new role
Provide day to day project management and lead the design of multiple schemes across a range of clients.
Guide and support for junior members of the team, delegate and check work, ensuring deadlines are met and we maintain the high-quality of our deliverables.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders, preparing fee proposals, managing projects, and undertaking business development.
The type of deliverables the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, either directly or through delegation, will be:
Developing Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies.
Developing Levels Strategies and managing production of Earthwork Appraisals.
Producing Planning Documents such as Flood Risk Assessments/Drainage Technical Notes and Utilities Statements.
Undertaking Due Diligence reviews to support the purchase of land.
What you’ll need to succeed
The candidate will have significant post-graduate (or equivalent) experience and ideally will be working towards, or awarded, Chartered or Incorporated status (CEng/IEng,
MICE, MCIWEM), or have equivalent experience and responsibility.
They should possess excellent communication skills.
A sound technical ability.
Drive to develop both themselves and others.
Ability to use MicroDrainage and AutoCad at an advanced level is essential, and an understanding of Civils 3d would be beneficial.
Experience in pre-planning and planning stage projects, as well as a good understanding of detail design and technical approval (S104, S38, S278, etc) is required.
This will be a permanent appointment.
Based in the office 3 to 4 days per week.
