The Head of Marketing & Communications is a key senior management position and part of the senior management team. The postholder will be expected to plan, implement and deliver a clear and ambitious marketing and communications strategy, working closely with the CEO, key internal and external stakeholders and in alignment with High Peak Theatre Trust’s audience development plans. The postholder will be expected to effectively manage local, national and industry communications, using external public relations support as appropriate, maximising coverage and raising awareness of Buxton Opera House’s artistic programme.
The postholder will have significant experience of marketing, communications and campaign development, preferably within the arts, cultural/heritage, creative industries or charity sectors plus the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and experience of dealing with and handling local and national media and PR. It is essentially that the successful candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is highly organised and has excellent people management, leadership and budgeting skills.

Salary: £38,000-£42,000 per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent (40 hours per week)
