Howarth Morris Looking for Financial Controller at Warrington Full Time
Excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join an £10m t/o well established, SME engineering business based in Birchwood, Warrington. Reporting directly to the MD, this is a hands-on No 1 in Finance role, with the remit of developing and modernising all aspects of financial and management accounting across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Development of a modern and sophisticated Management Information/KPI pack to provide timely, full visibility across the business and its operations.
Development of robust financial controls and processes.
Business Partnering with the board and senior management team
Budgeting & forecasting
Profit & Loss and variance analysis
Annual Statutory Accounts
Tax comp preparation
VAT Returns
Balance sheet reconciliations
Sales & margin analysis
Payroll
Fixed Assets
VAT
Bank Reconciliation
Cash Management
Dealing with escalated Credit Control issues
Candidate Requirements
Minimum AAT Qualified
A proven Financial Controller or a Management or Financial Accountant ready to make the step.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Proven ability of being able to business partner with non-finance budget holders and senior management.
Sage 50 would be advantageous.
