Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum FTE (£12,000-£14,000 pro rata), depending on experience

Our client, Soltherm External Insulations Ltd, is a building materials supplier, producing the highest quality EWI system in the world. Soltherm’s mission is to supply innovative building materials and solutions to the British market. To achieve this, Soltherm provide training, CPD seminars, U-Value calculations, condensation analysis, project specifications and onsite support.
As HR Officer for Soltherm, you will be the first point of call for all HR queries from colleagues internally and from external stakeholders. This is a standalone role, providing HR support and advice on best practice in a busy, vibrant and growing company.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Implementation of HR processes including organisational development, employee development, recruitment, redundancy, performance management, training etc
Be the main contact person for HR queries, internally and externally
Create, review and update all internal HR templates and policies, ensuring these are in line with current legislation
Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies, including providing advice on interview evaluation techniques and assisting with developing recruitment campaigns
Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates
Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data
Identifying development needs
Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems they have and managing their expectations
Supporting the leadership team with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
General HR administrative duties.
Person specification:
CIPD Level 3 qualified, or a degree in HR is preferred
Knowledge of employment legislation
Experience in a similar role, such as a HR Officer, HR Adviser, HR Consultant or other
Excellent written and spoken communication
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Organisational and administrative skills
Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
Ability to design clear and fair company policies
Driven and determined
Practical and logical problem-solver.

The HR Officer will be working two days each week, Monday to Friday inclusive. The hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm with one hour for lunch. The days of work will be agreed with the successful candidate.
