As an Electrical Design & Controls Engineer you’ll be able to get more involved in projects throughout their whole lifecycle. Machines are all built in-house, so you’ll love being able to see the results of your work in action.
You will be enabled to handle things right from putting together initial specifications and designing electrical schematics from scratch, and commissioning on customer site. So you can expect 2-4 days a month travel.
The projects you’ll be working on are innovate, fast and accurate automated packaging machines for the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries. This is a mixture of bespoke systems and modifying tried & testing designs.
This is a family-run business, lead by engineers, which has been handed down through generations over the past 45 years. With 25 people in the business, every person matters and you can expect the care & attention you deserve.
These machines often incorporate complex pneumatic circuits, so this is a perfect opportunity for you to learn & develop knowledge in this area. You’ll also be able to expand your skills in PLC programming, with training available in this, as well as HMI & SCADA.
There’s no need for experience in any specific electrical CAD, or PLC platform. Although if you’ve done any programming in the Codesys environment then this will give you a headstart in that area.
This is a positive working environment, where you’ll be trained in any areas of knowledge you don’t have and be able to work towards more Senior roles as you progress.
You’ll benefit from a good work-life balance. Monday-to-Friday, finishing by 5pm, 40 hours a week with a 12:45pm Friday finish. Overtime is optional and paid at time-and-a-half. You’ll be working
The salary on offer is £40,000 – £45,000, with 23 days holiday and the chance to add another 30% to your earnings through overtime if desired.
