Salary – £40,000 +
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team on a static basis, working across a very well-known large commercial contract. Working across a brand new growing project, based in various environments such as retail stores, restaurants, bars, rooftop gardens all located on the same site.
You will be working a long side a large facilities maintenance team, including electrical engineers, fabric engineers and painters.
The perfect candidate must be happy to be client facing and being the face of the company in front of members of the public.
The successful candidate will need to have a strong commercial background and previous experience within facilities maintenance. We are also looking for someone client facing and ideally qualified to NVQ/ City & Guilds in Plumbing or Mechanical Maintenance.
The perfect candidate would be experienced within facilities maintenance and looking to grow and upskill with further opportunity to gain qualifications!
Duties and Responsibilities for a Static Mechanical Engineer:
Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines
Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
Carry out modifications and installations when required
Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
Liaise with client/management
Qualifications and Experience for a Static Mechanical Engineer:
Minimum NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance
A recognized industry plumbing or heating qualification will be required (e.g. City & Guilds), and previous experience is essential
Strong knowledge of commercial systems
Computer literate for logbook record sheets and produce reports
Background in similar role
