Quality Assurance Engineer (Process) – The role:
The Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Quality Assurance team to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, standards, and customer specifications. The Quality Assurance Engineer will support key projects in working to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) across the business.
The post holder will also investigate and identify the root cause of quality problems, by adopting a systematic approach to problem solving and the implementation of robust corrective actions.
Our essential criteria for this role are:
4 GCSEs including grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification or experience.
Previous experience in a Quality Assurance related role within a highly regulated manufacturing organisation ( eg. Nuclear, Aerospace, Medical etc).
ISO9001 Internal Auditor qualification and basic experience.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business and working directly with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Experience in working with problem solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5Why’s etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage own time and deliverables effectively.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and experience of ISO14001, ISO45001, ASME ‘N’ & ‘NPT’, PED, ATEX and Functional Safety.
ISO9001 Lead Assessor qualification.
Mechanical Engineering background.
Good general understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation.
