Company based in Hertfordshire very little inner London work
(You need to be able to do both disciplines)
My client are looking for an engineer that can cover a wide spectrum of works and Hospital sites, public sector, and local council authorities etc.
My client hardly does any work in Central London and ensure that the work is on sites that can provide parking and relatively good access.
My clients staff are paid for a 50-hour week throughout the 12-month period even when on annual leave, bank holidays etc.
The basis of this is the fact my client would expect you on site for 8am in the morning which not only benefits you to miss the traffic, but ensures we get a good start on site. Then you would work an 8-hour day and leave site thereafter.
There is always overtime available for those that wish to earn more money and they also run an on-call system out of hours call out which is paid at £140.00 per week and on a rota basis and they earn either time and half or double time accordingly.
There is the opportunity of away working and for this in addition to being paid the 10-hour day you would also get an additional 2-hour overtime for staying away plus all hotel costs, breakfast, and food & drink in the evening up to a value of £30.00 per night.
Again, working away there is an opportunity for further overtime to be paid if you wish to carry on working on site and get the job done quicker!
All uniform, staff expenses, mobile phones, vehicles etc.. are paid as normal and my client also operates a bonus scheme based upon productivity and the will to help and cover works. This is often made by the issuing of gift vouchers of some kind.
My client also offer after a successful trial period Private healthcare for the family, and this is comes into effect after a 3-month trial period.
My clients engineers start rate is from £16.50 up to £19.00 per hour – so if you were on the top rate of £19.00 per hour = £190 per day x 5 = £950.00 per week or £49,400 per year. But my client will make it clear that this is only given to good engineers.
Holiday – after the 3-month trial period you would be entitled to 23 days per annum plus Bank Holidays – my client also operate a scheme that after 5 years’ service every year up to 10 years’ service we give an extra day’s annual leave per year so if you stayed at the company for say 10 years, we would give 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
My client also offer the period between Christmas and New Year Day off (around 10 days), without taking leave, however all we ask is that you work with the engineers to cover this period for on-call.
My clients engineers on average per annum with overtime and on-call money can earn more than £56-60k per annum – it all depends on what you want to earn.
If this sounds like you please give me a call or send cv asap
