Interaction Recruitment Looking for Experienced Tool Maker at Wellingborough Full Time

We are supporting a manufacturing company based in Wellingborough in their search for an experienced tool maker.

Position Summary: 

Under limited supervision, machine standard and special components for bespoke MMD machines to schedule.

Machine parts using manual and CNC machines.

Keeping records of time and material used on jobs.

Support engineering and production with any changes to machine build.

Support engineering with parts for research and development.

Hours of work – 37.5 per week

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

CNC and manual machining knowledge and 3-5 years’ experience.

Knowledge of working with Prototract, SLX, Siemens, Shopmill (would be an advantage but training will be provided)

Read mechanical drawings.

Mechanical skills.

General problem-solving skills and practical aptitude.

Ability to work as part of a team and display a willingness to learn and put skills into practice.

Excellent communication.

Qualifications Preferred:

Secondary School education, 3 O levels or equivalent.

Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 (4 years)
