Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £34,000 – £38,000

Monday – Friday (Permanent Position)

Are you passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and designing innovative solutions? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

–          Conduct visual inspections of products and collaborate with different teams to design, develop, and improve products.

–          Liaise with global sales team, providing technical advice to support the sales proposals and drawing layouts through to despatch.

–          Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

–          Work with design team to help create detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.

–          Oversee prototype development and testing, identifying areas for optimisation and improvement.

–          Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering.

Requirements:

–          Proven experience in mechanical design and product development.

–          Expirience working with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

–          Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

–          Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team.

–          Effective communication and presentation skills.
