I am looking for a mechanical engineer to work on a prestigious site. The role is ideal for someone who is technically forward thinking and very passionate about their trade. A strong background in Mechanical Engineering is required for this role and experience working in a client facing commercial building environment are essential.
Hours
7-4/ 9-6/ 10-7 – Predominantly will be required to work 9am-6pm

• Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
• Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed, and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
• Undertake Statutory Maintenance Tasks as per the SFG20 Maintenance specification
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the Lead Engineer.
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Ensure up to date plant logs are kept at all times
• Ensure that all plant rooms under your responsibility are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Requirements/Qualifications
• NVQ level 2 service and maintenance of HVAC systems
• NVQ level 1 and 2 mechanical engineer
• L8 Legionella
• Basic BMS understanding, experience of working with TREND
• City & Guilds 7188 or 6186 – heating and ventilation
• Must have got IT skills as required to use Client and Company Tools.”
