General Overview:
The Area General Manager will be responsible for and managing 2-3, multi-million-pound contracts with various key locations within and surrounding the London area. You will lead a management team of people who will deliver first class customer service solutions and transition the service with a key focus on compliance and health and safety.
The contract includes hard service provision provided by a combination of directly employed and sub contracted labour and includes but is not limited to help desk, projects, grounds maintenance and mechanical and electrical, 24/7 reactive response and Planned Preventative Maintenance. You will ensure the company’s financial targets are met and ensure that the service on all sites is delivered, reported and compliant with customer and company procedures.
Customer Relationship Management
? To build and maintain a good relationship with the customer and their staff, to provide regular feedback on the FM performance, discuss quotations, issues, client updates, oversee quote requests and develop good working relationships with the service delivery teams, as well as the customer and inter customer divisions.
? Coordinate all aspects of the FM site delivery including but not limited to: administration of the sites-being responsible for ensuring site paperwork is updated in line with requirement, quotations are issued in a timely manner, invoices are issued in a timely manner, H&S documentation and contract documentation is completed, site files are up to date.
Commercial, Finance & Delivering
? Manage the account finance team, ensuring all business and commercial aspects are managed professionally.
? Lead the customer account development, responsible for organisational design, strategy setting, customer relationship building, business development and project management.
? To lead, direct and motivate the team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential
? Ensuring financial and operational compliance
? Ensuring effective working relationships are enhanced with key stakeholders by regularly exceeding the standard of work delivered and delivering leadership to the account managers across multiple contracts
? To grow business reputation, credibility and longer-term business opportunities through effective customer relationship management and customer service excellence
? To celebrate success and drive continuous improvement with the teams.
? To develop staff and succession plans
? Management responsibility for up to several operational direct reports
? Management of P&L for customer contract
? Operate effectively in acomplex organisation where there are conflicting demands on time and resources
? Establishes excellent working relationships with appropriate customer contacts
? Establishes excellent working relationships with external customers.
? Works with minimal direct supervision; resolves complex operational problems.
? Takes charge of P&L and commercial performance of contract
? Contributes to budget planning and reviews financial performance against budget
? Supports in the process of identifying opportunities, deploying strategies and implementing practical solutions to best deliver on viable business opportunities
? To deploy the strategic account development plan, monitoring and reviewing its effectiveness against plan
? Other management and operational duties that may be required from time to time
Business Growth
? To grow the relationship with the customer building the portfolio.
? Develop a business plan for the customer account that delivers sustainable profitable growth based on a full understanding of the Integrated FM and Technical services markets.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Previous experience at a similar level, regulated business or similar
Appropriate Technical Knowledge and understanding
