Associate Director/Senior Sustainability Development Manager
Lewis Davey is recruiting for a senior professional for a Sustainability Development role for a rare client-side opportunity. Looking to speak with Associate Directors, Senior Sustainability Managers; an opportunity to bring a creative and innovative approach to a highly impactful role. If you are passionate about sustainability and keen to develop initiatives to minimise the environmental impact of development projects, looking to get involved with evolving a climate risk management framework and take part in the strategy and execution. Then this unique opportunity offers just that; with extensive experience in the real estate sector, you will play a large part in the forward movement towards sustainability.
Role
· Executive and Board reporting – Support the Director of Audit, Enterprise Risk & Sustainability on delivering specific sustainability projects and draft papers for both executive and Plc Board.
· Knowledge and innovation – Bring innovation in process and knowledge to ensure the Group strategy is effectively delivered
· Contribute to Cultural Change – Develop and deliver educational programmes to raise the awareness of colleagues of sustainability issues/ technical points and how these relate to their specific area of work.
· Development and embedding development standards – To work collaboratively with development management to adopt standards for office, mixed-use and residential developments
· Develop Frameworks to Embed CR – To set and agree development targets, to monitor progress and support achievement of all targets. Drive the highest standards for material use, design in performance and construction etc
· Risk management – Review and develop existing climate risk management framework and align to TCFD. Work collaboratively with business colleagues to agree mitigations and actions as necessary for risks and action plan for opportunities

What you will need to succeed – Essential Experience/Skills:
- Strong understanding of sustainability/ technical issues
- Confident in working with senior management
- Able to simplify technical matters for strong colleague/ management engagement
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Enthusiasm for sustainability and making a difference
- Good team working and relationship building skills
- Previous experience in community or sustainability work
· Project management and delivery (desirable)
Education/Qualifications
- Relevant degree or proven experience in a similar role, ideally in real estate
