The Governors of Kelmscott School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and highly enthusiastic colleague to manage our thriving SEND department. The main purpose of the role is to promote inclusive practice in which the interests and needs of students with SEND and/or disabilities are at the heart of all actions. The role includes teaching but on a reduced timetable; the successful candidate will be a dynamic, inspirational and creative teacher who is able motivate students as well as being an outstanding team player.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain excellent career experience as the role involves managing the support team within the SEND department. This is a great opportunity be part of our exciting continued professional development programme.
We would welcome applications from qualified SENDCO’s as well as aspiring SENDCO’s with middle leader experience who are willing to work towards and gain the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification. The important thing for us is finding the right person, who possesses the right attitude and aptitude, to grow in to and excel in the role.
